Drawing from the topics of loss and renewal, Summer Salt’s “Honeyweed” encapsulates the beachy, dreamlike sound of Brazillian tropicalia and 60’s folk pop.  Hailing from the city of Austin, Texas, bandmates Matthew Terry, Eugene Chung, Anthony Barnett, and Elliot Edmonds continue to impress their audiences after their sold out summer 2018 tour.  The new single “Honeyweed” complements the band’s wildly colorful, new EP Full Catastrophe, which features songs like “Magic Boy” and “Fading Away.”

Playing off of jangling guitars and warm vocals, “Honeyweed” is paired with a relaxing melody, encouraging you to sit back and unwind.  This sun-soaking, psychedelic composition conveys the hypnotic effect of love and attraction. Laced with the amiable and affectionate sounding voice of Matthew Terry, the song pulls you into a world with an endless summer.

The band is currently touring throughout the United States, but they only have a few more dates left on their roster before the summer ends.  Catch them on tour before the end of August to be embraced by the dreamy sound of “Honeyweed.”

Summer Salt’s single and new EP are currently available on Spotify, Apple Music, and a variety of other platforms.
